Dear Fellow Scout Leaders,

This summer, take the unique opportunity to sail on the Sea Scout Ship Odyssey! 

You and your scouts could spend a week sailing in the San Juan Islands of Puget Sound on the adventure of a lifetime. From the very first day, your scouts will be sailing this historic 90 foot yawl, from hauling the mainsail up the 105 foot mast, to taking the helm of this racing beauty through the Northwest islands teaming with Dall's porpoises, sea lions and orcas. 

As the week progresses, your scouts will learn navigation, seamanship, knots, and splicing. They can also get their small boat sailing and rowing merit badges in our two small boats. But there's plenty of time for plain old fashioned fun, from swinging from the halyards as a rope swing, combing the beaches of hidden coves, basking on deck, and hanging out in the galley eating homemade chocolate chip cookies.
